Welcome to The Two Grumpy Archers Long Bow Club in Shalford, Essex.

We have no age limit and there is no membership fee. You are welcome to come and try the long bows to see if it something for you or join us in the club. If you don’t have any equipment, don’t worry, we lend you bows, arrows and protection gear for free. We also provide different targets to shoot at. Sometimes we have a live target, someone dressed up in full armor – but then we don’t shoot with sharp arrows but use blunts.

We meet at Goldsticks Farm in Shalford every Sunday at 11 AM on the field.

 It cost £2.50 each time to cover the cost of repairing the archery gear.

There might be some Sundays we can’t meet because of courses or events. Please see the Calendar: Archery and events. The archery is also canceled if there is (heavy) rain. If you are not sure if there is archery, please call the contact number on this page. If the track down to the field is muddy, please park up near the farm and walk down.
